Young Researcher scholarships

The IUCr has been asked to support the ECM33 Satellite Meetings through financial bursaries for students and young researchers, up to 5 years after the PhD defense (final decision still pending). The bursaries are intended to support young researchers attendance at the ECM33 satellite meetings “Functional Materials Under Pressure & Chirality in Crystals”. These bursaries should cover the registration fees, including accommodation and catering, as well as the travel costs of the selected participants. We hope that it will allow also recipiendaries to participate to ECM33, since the cost of a Paris-Bordeaux travel is less than travelling to France.

To apply for these bursaries, the applicant should provide:

  1. A motivation letter evidencing the relevance of his/her/their participation at this satellite meeting and precising if he/she/they will attend the ECM33 meeting (maximum one page).
  2. A CV with name, professional affiliation, contact details, date of birth, citizenship, educational background, employment history and current position of the applicant. A publication list of the applicant could be provided as well.
  3. A recommendation letter of the supervisor or head of department/group of the applicant, attesting to the status (student, PhD, Post-Doc…) of the applicant.
We strongly encourage the applicants to submit an abstract (deadline May 16th 2022).

Applications should be sent to sat-ecm33@sciencesconf.org . Deadline for the application is the 31st May 2022. The decision for the scholarship attribution will be undertaken by the Scientific Committee and notification of the approved applications will be sent as soon as possible.
